The writing


THE WRITING Writing is a system of symbols and rules for combining them, used to record (write) on a physical utterances made in a certain language (so called written language), in such a way that one who sees symbols written to them can decode (read) without the help of those who wrote them.


PICTOGRAPH The icon is a symbol, a drawing or a series of symbolic drawings, suggestive, which are played concepts, objects, activities, places and ideas in some writing system.

CUNEIFORM WRITING

Cuneiform writing is among the first forms of expression through writing in the world. Cuneiform writing was invented, probably about 5,000 years ago and consists of nails shaped recesses carved in stone or clay tablets printed; It was used by some ancient Oriental peoples.

CODE OF HAMMURABI The Code of Hammurabi is a well-preserved Babylonian law code of ancient Mesopotamia, dating back to about 1754.

It is one of the oldest deciphered writings of significant length in the world.

The code consists of 282 laws, with scaled punishments, adjusting "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth"


HIEROGLYPHICS Egyptian hieroglyphs were the formal writing system used in Ancient Egypt. It combined logographic and syllabic and alphabetic elements, for a total of the order of 1,000 distinct characters

NICOLAE GRIGORESCU Nicolae Grigorescu (15 May 1838 – 21 July 1907) was one of the founders of modern Romanian painting. In the autumn of 1861, young Grigorescu left for Paris, where he studied at the École des Beaux-Arts. He also attended the workshop of Sébastien Cornu, where he had as a colleague Pierre-Auguste Renoir.


Collage


COLLAGE Collage is a technique of an art production, primarily used in the visual arts, where the artwork is made from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole.

COLLAGE IN PAINTING Collage in the modernist sense began with Cubist painters Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso. Sculpture


SCULPTURE The art of making two- or three-dimensional representative or abstract forms, especially by carving stone or wood or by casting metal or plaster.


SCULPTURE IN ANCIENT EGYPT Ancient Egyptian sculpture was closely associated with Egyptian architecture and mostly concerned the temple and the funeral tomb. The temple was built as if it were the tomb or eternal resting-place of a divinity whose statue was hidden within a succession of closed halls.


STONE CARVINGS Stone carving is an activity where pieces of rough natural stone are shaped by the controlled removal of stone. Owing to the permanence of the material, stone work has survived which was created during our prehistory.


BRONZE SCULPTURE Bronze is the most popular metal for cast metal sculptures; a cast bronze sculpture is often called simply a "bronze". It can be used for statues, singly or in groups, reliefs, and small statuettes and figurines, as well as bronze elements to be fitted to other objects such as furniture. MICHELANGELO BUONARROTI Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni (6 March 1475 – 18 February 1564) was an Italian sculptor, painter, architect, and poet of the High Renaissance who exerted an unparalleled influence on the development of Western art. Considered to be the greatest living artist during his lifetime, he has since also been described as one of the greatest artists of all time.


Music


MUSIC Music is an art form and cultural activity whose medium is sound and silence, which exist in time. The common elements of music are pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics (loudness and softness), and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture (which are sometimes termed the "color" of a musical sound).


MUSIC CLASSICAL Classical music is hard to define in specific terms, but it is generally understood to be music rooted in Western European traditions performed by trained musicians in formal settings like concert halls, opera houses, and churches. POP MUSIC "Pop" music is a type of popular music that many people like to listen to. The term "pop music" can be used for all kinds of music that was written to be popular. The word "pop music" was used from about 1880 onwards, when a type of music called music was popular.


Film


FILM The word "cinema", short for cinematography, is often used to refer to the industry of films and filmmaking or to the art of filmmaking itself. The contemporary definition of cinema is the art of simulating experiences to communicate ideas, stories, perceptions, feelings, beauty or atmosphere by the means of recorded or programmed moving images along with other sensory stimulations.


HISTORY FILM Preceding film in origin by thousands of years, early plays and dances had elements common to film: scripts, sets, costumes, production, direction, actors, audiences, storyboards, and scores. Much terminology later used in film theory and criticism apply, such as mise en scène (roughly, the entire visual picture at any one time).


COMEDY FILM Comedy is a genre of film in which the main emphasis is on humour. These films are designed to make the audience laugh through amusement and most often work by exaggerating characteristics for humorous effect.Films in this style traditionally have a happy ending (black comedy being an exception).


FILM DISNEY The Walt Disney Company, commonly known as Disney, is an American diversified:1 multinational mass media and entertainment conglomerate headquartered at the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California. It is the world's second largest media conglomerate in terms of revenue, after Comcast.


OSCAR AWARDS The Academy Awards, or "Oscars", is an annual American awards ceremony hosted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) to recognize excellence in cinematic achievements in the United States film industry as assessed by the Academy's voting membership. The various category winners are awarded a copy of a statuette, officially called the Academy Award of Merit, which has become commonly known by its nickname "Oscar."


Theater


THEATER Theatre or theater is a collaborative form of fine art that uses live performers, typically actors or actressess, to present the experience of a real or imagined event before a live audience in a specific place, often a stage. The performers may communicate this experience to the audience through combinations of gesture, speech, song, music, and dance.

The story and emotional content of a musical – humor, pathos, love, anger – are communicated through the words, music, movement and technical aspects of the entertainment as an integrated whole.


THEATER of TRAGEDY Tragedy is a form of drama based on human suffering that invokes an accompanying catharsis or pleasure in audiences. While many cultures have developed forms that provoke this paradoxical response, the term tragedy often refers to a specific tradition of drama that has played a unique and important role historically in the selfdefinition of Western civilisation.


Dance


DANCE Dance is a performance art form consisting of purposefully selected sequences of human movement. This movement has aesthetic and symbolic value, and is acknowledged as dance by performers and observers within a particular culture. Dance can be categorized and described by its choreography, by its repertoire of movements, or by its historical period or place of origin.

ARCHITECTURE Architecture is both the process and the product of planning, designing, and constructing buildings and other physical structures. Historical civilizations are often identified with their surviving architectural achievements.


HISTORY OF ARCHITECTURE The history of architecture traces the changes in architecture through various traditions, regions, overarching stylistic trends, and dates. The branches of architecture are civil, sacred, naval, military, and landscape architecture.


ANCIENT EGYPTIAN ARCHITECTURE Ancient Egyptian architecture is the architecture of Ancient Egypt, one of the most influential civilizations throughout history, which developed a vast array of diverse structures and great architectural monuments along the Nile, including pyramids and temples.


BYZANTINE ARCHITECTURE Byzantine architecture is the architecture of the Byzantine Empire, known as the Eastern Roman Empire. This terminology is used by modern historians to designate the medieval Roman Empire as it evolved as a distinct artistic and cultural entity centered on the new capital of Constantinople rather than the city of Rome and environs.


GOTHIC ARCHITECTURE Gothic architecture is a style of architecture that flourished during the high and late medieval period. It evolved from Romanesque architecture and was succeeded by Renaissance architecture.


ISLAMIC ARCHITECTURE Islamic architecture encompasses a wide range of both secular and religious styles from the foundation of Islam to the present day. What today is known as Islamic architecture was influenced by Roman, Byzantine and all other lands which the Muslims conquered in the 7th and 8th centuries.


MODERN ARCHITECTURE Modern architecture is a term applied to a group of styles of architecture which emerged in the first half of the 20th century and became dominant after World War II. It was based upon new technologies of construction, particularly the use of glass, steel and reinforced concrete; and upon a rejection of the traditional neoclassical architecture and Beaux-Arts styles that were popular in the 19th century.
