Due to its location, this area has not been developed. There are no public functions for its neighbors. With this problem in mind, it is intended to develop a project focused on integration. An integration in culture and social aspects. An integration of the area with the Sendling district and Munich itself.
In terms of geometry, the building is understood as a stepped form characterized by two rows. These rows go from the highest point, where the hotel is located as an urban strategy for its visual impact; and slowly descends towards the power plant, wrapping even one of its old tanks.
The building has several uses. On the lower floors, the public functions. These include stores, kindergartens, libraries... The upper floors are reserved for a more private use, such as residential use. Where we can even find student housing.
The first floor is executed in such a way that it becomes a permeable object, characterized by the combination of open and closed spaces that creates a movement around the building and its long courtyard. This permeability is also carried to the upper floors with the placement of walkways that back up the central courtyard.
