THE CELL
• A cell is the smallest unit of life . • It is a living thing because it performs the three vital functions: – Nutrition – Interation – Reproduction
We can see the cell under a microscope
There are two kinds: Animall cell
Plant cell
ANIMAL CELL
cytoplasm nucleus organelles Cell membrane
CYTOPLASM is inside the cell, it is a viscous liquid. The NUCLEUS contains the material necessary to reproduce and to assign the activities of the cell. The ORGANELLES perform various cell functions. The CELL MEMBRANE is the outer shell.
PLANT CELL
chloroplasts
membrane
Cell wall
The CELL WALL is a rigid structure that surround the cell membrane. CHLOROPLASTS are green organelles that capture light and produce nutrients. In both animal and plant, the nucleus is separated from the cytoplasm by a MEMBRANE.
