She had a wonderful childhood in the city of eternal spring, Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. She graduated from Houston Baptist University in 1996 with a B.A. in Bilingual/ESL Education and Interdisciplinary Studies. Marie Elena is a person who is constantly learning from books, people, and especially from her students. Children inspire her to learn, think, and be creative. Her goal is to help students shine and be the best they can be. Her hobbies are being creative, helping her community, and writing children's books and poems.
