The project consisted of creating a new master plan for the eastern part of Lachine, a neighbourhood in Montreal, Canada. The key focus of our master plan was to reinvent the industrial area and turn it into a community asset. It aimed to develop safe, high quality and well-used public spaces, and reduce social barriers to create a more cohesive and equitable community.

The project consisted of creating a development plan for a 50acre piece of land in Saint-Lazare, Canada. The owner of the land was committed to using this land to construct a net-positive development which would use the land in an ecologically and socially sustainable manner, balancing the provision of housing with the ecological and community needs of the site. The plot of land in question was bordered on either side by conventional subdivisions, and a river run along the length of the property creating wetlands. The site would provide housing for a community of 100 residents in 33 units (with a possible 200 additional residents in future phases). This project is currently in early visioning phases as nothing concrete has yet been approved.

Las Barrancas: Atlas of Public Space Conditions Studio Project - Mexico City Visiting School Architectural Association School of Architecture, July 2015

Location - Las Barrancas within Mexico City

Different levels of analysis

Contributor: Adriana Corrales Rodriguez This three-week intensive studio was set in Mexico City and focused on many themes related to urban disruptions. Our team analyzed the development of unplanned public spaces and mechanisms of selfappropriation of the environment by community members in the area of the “barrancas. We found that through the use of garlands, painting and greenery, among others, the community created public recreational spaces in areas that are not normally perceived as such, for instance intersections or public stairs. 19 15

This charrette aimed at redeveloping an unused railway corridor in the neighbourhood of Pointe-aux-Trembles, in Montreal. The COUPE - 9 RUE proposal consists in the creation of an active transportation corridor enhancing the natural, historical, touristic and commercial elements of the area. A multi-use path runs along a stream collecting rainwater. Urban furniture and other visualBOUL. landmarks act as reference SAINT-JEAN-BAPTISTE points and reminders of the site’s previous functions. The urban setting in the western part evolves progressively towards a more AVANT APRÈS natural environment.

The 11th Avenue Park Groupe de recherche appliquée en macroécologie (GRAME), April - May 2015 Individual work In 2015, the Borough of Lachine decided to create a new park at the corner of NotreDame Street and the 11th Avenue. I was asked to create a rendering showing a possible design for transforming the then vacant space into a cozy welcoming park. The emphasis was put on sitting and relaxing opportunities, and plane surfaces would be used for painting and public exhibitions related to the neighbourhood’s history and environment.

Racine cubique (Cube Root) Studio Project - First semester of the Bachelor of Science (Architecture) UniversitĂŠ de MontrĂŠal, Oct. - Dec. 2008 Individual work My mandate was to create an interactive wooden installation next to a cliff. The closed installation had to have the shape of a cube, and could be deployed by effectuating no more than three movements. It was intended to be a resting area.

JournĂŠe des Bons Voisins RuePublique, August - Sept. 2015 Individual work I was in charge of producing a poster for the JournĂŠe des Bons Voisins, a community event during which Saint-Viateur Street in the Mile-End is pedestrianized and welcomes many different community groups and family activities. The street was divided into three sections: one dedicated to community activities and groups, one relating to urban design, and a third one on greening. The three last posters were used to identify the different sections on the street.

The Remembering Hall Pinarchitecture Competition - June 2015 Individual work The pinarchitecture competition consists in developing within a circle a graphically and architecturally interesting design about a specific topic. The subject for the month of June 2015 was “The Remembering Hall. My concept shows the human evolution and the differences between the natural environment where primates live and the urban context where the majority of human beings live today. The box symbolizes the mix between those two antagonisms.
