The Iroquois made lots of arts & crafts. They made mask carvings, beadwork, and porcupine quillwork. These master pieces were made out of a lot of natural resources such as, wood from trees, cotton from cotton plants, and straw. Some of the Iroquois’ arts & craft had symbols that mean something special for the tribe.
The Iroquois lived in villages of long houses. These long houses can be as long as 100 feet! Up to 60 people can fit inside. Long houses are made up of straw, wood, elm bark, and mud. Many things are stored into long houses.

Shelter The Iroquois lived in villages of longhouses. Longhouses are up to 100 feet long. The Iroquois used natural resources to make there longhouses like mud ,straw ,elm bark and wood. A single longhouse can fit up to 60 people in it. Plenty of things are stored in long houses.
The Iroquois tribe are the original residents of the Northeastern Woodlands area. The heart of the Iroquois homeland is located in what is now New York state. Many of the Iroquois still live in New York till this very day or across the border of Canada .

TRANSPORTATION The Iroquois tribes (also known as Kanonsionni, Haudenosaunee, or Six Nations) got around in elm-bark or dugout canoes for fishing, though they usually traveled by foot. They used dogs as pack animals. During the winter the people wore laced snow shoes and traveled in sleds. There was no real need to move around because many of the members farmed crops. The only time they left was to hunt or trade.

The Iroquois interact with the Algonquin, Mohican, and Wabanaki tribes. They speak Mohawk, Seneca, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, and Tuscarora. The religion of the eastern woodland people is complicated. The Iroquois Confederacy is what their government was called. There are many traditional legends from their tribe.
The Eastern Woodlands(Iroquois) had fished, hunted, farmed , and gathered. They fished trout, bass, and salmon. For hunting they hunted deer a lot. They ate a lot of corn and squash. They also gathered fruit and berries. They would cook over rocks .
The Eastern Woodlands wore deerskin, leggings, robes, and moccasins. These clothes would usually ware them to keep them from whether. Plus, they wore feathers in their hair too! They also made their own boots.
