What happens if we map and categorize each atmosphere along the Creek and name a material that represents it? By mixing these materials, a new pathway is created along the Strawberry Creek, unifying the path, connecting spaces.
Boundarie
Berkeley encloses a great range of scenarios that together give the city an air of diversity. By walking along the Strawberry Creek, one can notice a dramatic change of atmospheres produced by boundaries that abruptly break the constant flow of the city’s spatial lecture.

CARNEGIE MELLON EXHIBITION Project: Tezuka Architects Installation at Carnegie Mellon School of Architecture. 2013 Collaboration: Installation Design & Planning Storyboard Production The installation consisted on reproducing the flowing space of Fuji Kindergarten inside the gallery of Carnegie Mellon Museum. This effect was achieved by using a cylindrical shaped shade where a video of Fuji Kindergarten was projected. Children were encouraged to run around the space in circles, jump and play; just as if they were in the real Tezuka Architect’s space.

ENTRANCE
Such a playful atmosphere!
The visitor’s shadow is reflected on the screen, enabling he/she to feel emerged in the projection.
Images can be destorted on 90% of the screen. The important thing is to keep the atmosphere of playfulness and fun.

Balloons have a folder piece of paper attached to them. It functions both as a weight element as well as a souvenir for visitors to take home. Strings’ lenght vary so kids jump and bend to grab them.
The screen plays a very important roll on this installation. It’s not only a projection tool but a toy for kids to run behing it, through it, play hide-and-seek ro whatever the atmosphere encourages them to do
