After retaking the tests, students can show competency through alternate demonstrations which include College Credit Plus, career-focused activities, or military enlistment.

These seals allow students to demonstrate important foundational information, well-rounded academic and technical knowledge, professional skills, social and emotional competencies, and leadership and reasoning skills.
State Defined Seals include: OhioMeansJobs Readiness Seal Industry-Recognized Credential Seal College-Ready Seal Military Enlistment Seal Citizenship Seal Science Seal Honors Diploma Seal Seal of Biliteracy Technology Seal Locally defined seals include: Community Service Seal: Earn 40 hours of documented and approved community service during Junior/Senior year. Fine and Performing Arts Seal: Earn 2 high school credits of visual or performing arts. Student Engagement Seal: Students participating in two seasons of a Mariemont High School athletic team or students participating in two semesters of a school sanctioned extracurricular activity, club, or student government.
Students can earn two or more State Defined Seals by passing assessments administered at school.
