AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT Terrace Park Elementary

THE IMPORTANCE OF After School Enrichment At Mariemont City Schools, we strive for all students to become global learners and deeply committed members of the community and world through a well-rounded educational experience where interests and passions drive the work. Through the Warriors BEyond program, each student in grades K-12 experiences this on a regular basis during the school day, but the experiential learning doesn’t end there. Elementary students at both Mariemont Elementary and Terrace Park Elementary schools have access to a number of after school enrichment courses offered throughout the school year. Students in grades K-6 can register for experiences including art exploration, STEM learning, musical expression and much more. Keeping true to our commitment to create strong community ties, we partner with a variety of vendors from the Cincinnati area along with our own teaching staff to bring this learning to life. Our goal is to help students explore interests and develop new passions and I believe the after school enrichment curriculum does just that. I am proud of what the Warriors BEyond initiative brings to Mariemont City Schools and I hope you and your elementary student enjoy these after school enrichment offerings.

What are you building? Warriors BEyond is our K-12 amplified learning program that continuously builds upon itself through our district wide programs. Our Elementary students have the opportunity to explore passions via the After School Enrichment Program. Our 5th and 6th grade students build their interests via Explorations every Monday morning. The final building block for our 6th grade students is their Camp Kern experience. 7th and 8th grade students continue to build their amplified learning experience through Expeditions each and every Friday afternoon. We believe in building well rounded experiences for our students as all 7th and 8th grade students participate in Warriors Day of Service.

Building upon the camp kern experience, our 8th grade students take on the nations capital with their end of year Washington D.C. trip. Building upon their Exploration and Expedition experiences our high school students participate in an experiential learning week called Intersession. As our students’ interests and passions grow the high school students can build their own learning experience called Master Class. Finally, if a student loved their Camp Kern and Washington D.C. experience they can explore the world through our international travel program.

Warriors BEyond is a K-12 program of building blocks for students to design a uniquely amplified learning experience. So, the question is, “What are you building?”
