MARIETTA PATRICIA LEIS RESONANCE
Marietta Patricia Leis is an artist with conviction, experience and immense talent. We fell in love with her art from the very first experience; we think of viewing her artwork as a visceral experience because there is such a profound resonance to her work. Marietta’s color fields are luminous – the glazes of oil produce a vibration of light and color that evokes a feeling akin to listening to music or poetry. Leis invites viewers to think about how the artwork makes them feel without encumbrance of suggested meaning or challenge to interpret implied narrative. For us, we find ourselves basking in the glow of colors produced by her luxurious pigmented surfaces. Warren Campbell & Mike McClung Michael Warren Contemporary

Marietta Patricia Leis is a visual artist who lives and works in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her work is exhibited and collected internationally. Leis’ reductive art is inspired by silence, stillness and her reverent observation of either the changing sea or sky around her. Thus Leis’ paintings are less about the physical reality of place and more about her sensory memories. www.mariettaleis.com
