THE TOWER
overview. The idea for the project was inspired by the japanese zen gardens in a figurative sense. Here, the tower is the mountain around which everything develops in a circular rythm that performs the water movement. This movement is represented by the design of the pavement and the concrete flowerpots - the project plan was made especially to be appreciated from above. Being located over a parking lot slab, the great challenge relied on solving the drainage within a height of only 0,35m - the level difference between the slab top and the building entrance level.

ALCOCHETE
overview. The urban core of the historical village of Alcochete showed-up great accessibility pathologies. Its settlement, at a low level in the south bank of the river Tagus, brought regular floods in the past years. The proposal aimed to regulate the traffic and parking areas along with improving the extension of sidewalks and the creating new pedestrian crosswalks. With the stakeholders approval and the
support of the Port of Lisbon, a landfill of 15 meters over the river was proposed in order to alleviate floods and to form part of a wide and vented riverside promenade. The existence of listed buildings and other historical heritage increased the challenge when extending the public space, ensuring all its functions. Igreja da Misericรณrdia
