LT. GEN. REX C. MCMILLIAN

Commander, Marine Forces Reserve
On November 8 of next year, the U.S. will elect a new president. In addition, Americans will also be casting their ballots for a variety of other local, state and federal offices. As Marines, you are sworn to defend and protect this country. Accordingly, I not only encourage, but expect you all to be active citizens and participate in the political process. However, with the privilege of wearing this uniform, comes enormous responsibility. You are not ordinary citizens. You are bound by specific rules and regulations that govern your participation in the political process. I expect all Marines and Sailors of Marine Forces Reserve to familiarize themselves with these regulations. Ensure that you and your Marines follow these standards and continue to carry on the outstanding legacy that we enjoy as Marines. Semper Fidelis.
