Youngevity Mineral Makeup...

WHAT’S IN IT: WHAT’S NOT:

Mica: Naturally occurring minerals, mined from around the world, purified and crushed into a fine powder form. Mica adheres to the skin, and reflects light, making the skin tone look more even and wrinkles less visible. Mica is resistant to ultraviolet light, heat, and weather.

Titanium Dioxide: Naturally occurring white mineral pigment that acts as a filter from UVA and UVB rays. Titanium dioxide is anti-inflammatory as the natural minerals help to reduce irritation and redness of the skin. Titanium dioxide also has waterproof and SPF properties while furnishing a matte look.

Iron Oxides: Non-irritating and hypoallergenic compounds, which act as colorants. Iron oxides provide the long-wearing quality in mineral makeup formulations and help to keep the skin cool by blocking out infrared rays.

Zinc Oxide: White powder derived from natural mineral compounds, zinc oxide is a natural sunscreen agent, an antiseptic and astringent. Zinc oxide is known for its healing properties as well as its ability to adhere to the skin while sweating and swimming.

Ultramarine Blue: Clay that has been heated to a very high temperature to achieve blue and yellow pigments.

Ultramarine blue is used in some cool shades of mineral makeup to provide accurate hues.

Serecite: Purified, untreated, uncoated mica, serecite is a fluffy, translucent mineral that provides a silky texture to a foundation.

Kaolin Clay: Soft clay used for oilabsorption, kaolin clay provides coverage for long-lasting effects.

HOW TO APPLY FOUNDATION, BRONZERS AND SETTING POWDERS

Q PREPARE YOUR SKIN

Cleanse your face as usual.

Apply your favorite moisturizer, such as Youngevity Botanical Spa Morning Hydration Cream (p. 27), to the face and neck.

Apply Waterless Vitamic C Cream (p. X) directly over your moisturizer to create a smooth, hydrated and nourished surface for your Youngevity Mineral Makeup.

W APPLY THE YOUNGEVITY MINERAL MAKEUP FOUNDATION

Shake out a small amount of Youngevity Mineral Foundation (p. 4) into the lid and dip the round Kabuki brush into the foundation.

Tap the brush on the side of the container to get rid of excess foundation and then apply to your face using a circular motion.

Repeat the process until you’ve achieved the coverage you desire. You’ll achieve a smoother, naturally flawless appearance by applying several light dustings of foundation rather then trying to apply it all at once.

E APPLY THE

Shake out a very small amount of Youngevity Bronzer (p. 6) into the lid and dip the Flawless Face brush into it. Gently tap the brush on the side of the container to get rid of any excess. Use it sparingly! Now, very lightly sweep the brush across your cheekbones, forehead, chin and bridge of your nose to achieve that “I’ve just been on a Caribbean cruise” look!

HOW TO APPLY EYE SHADOW

To achieve a natural look for either a day (casual) or evening (dramatic) look, follow the steps below. These looks can be achieved with any of the Youngevity Eye Shadow collections, or mix and match your favorite hues to come up with your own custom combination! See page 22 for the brushes detailed in these steps.

CASUAL/DAYTIME LOOK:

Q Simply sweep the lightest shade across your entire eyelid from lash to brown using the Shadow brush.

W Use the Eye Crease brush to apply one of the medium shades to the lower lid, blending up to the crease.

E Use your darkest color as a liner and apply along your lash line with the Brow Definer brush. For a long-lasting look, dampen your Brow Definer brush before applying shadow/liner.

R Apply mascara to upper and lower lashes using sweeping motions. Be sure to coat both sides of your lashes with mascara.

DRAMATIC/EVENING LOOK:

Q Sweep the lightest or second lightest shade across your entire eyelid from lash to brown using the Shadow brush.

W Use the Eye Crease brush to apply one of the medium or dark shades to the lower lid, blending up to the crease. Use the Slope brush to create even more definition.

E Use your darkest color as a liner and apply along your lash line with the Thin Liner brush. Then, blend this darker color up into the shade used in the crease line for a more dramatic look. To add definition, dampen the Thin Liner brush before applying shadow.

R Apply mascara to upper and lower lashes using sweeping motions. Be sure to coat both sides of your lashes with mascara.

HOW TO SHAPE BEAUTIFUL BROWS

Q Holding a pencil vertically as a straight edge (aligning it along the nostril and the inner corner of your eye), mark a small dot where it crosses the brow line—this is where your brow should start.

W Next, change the angle of the pencil, holding it so it runs alongside the nostril to the outer corner of your eye, then mark a small dot where it crosses your brown line—this is where your brow should end.

E Mark the arch of your brow at its highest point just above your pupil when looking straight ahead. Gently tweeze away any stray hairs outside of these dots.

R Use your Brow Definer brush to apply eye shadow that is a shade lighter than your brow color to fill in any gaps or sparse areas (see suggested colors below, each available in the Tame Your Brows kit, which includes tools and mineral makeup for beautiful brows).
