Grammar note: Unreal past - Making wishes: The ‘Past Simple’ can be used when referring to the present or future and not the past itself. This is called ‘Unreal Past’ and it can be used after the following words in the boxes below: Wish / If only

Reading Comprehension: “Stuck at an Airport” It’s likely true that at some point we’ve all had to experience some kind of inconvenience at an airport as travelers. Perhaps you might’ve had to wait on a long and annoying line to check into your flight or for some reason your belongings may have not been at the baggage claim and were lost in the course of your travel. This can almost be expected nowadays since flying is the fastest and safest way of traveling and airlines have a high number of arrivals and departures scheduled every single day. People return for many different reasons. For some it’s the constant beach weather, for others it’s the fine white sand, but most visitors you talk to will agree that it’s because of the friendly people and welcoming attitude of the hotel staff. While staying at an all inclusive hotel you will benefit from the many extra amenities and accommodations you can get at these amazing getaway spots. Many guests say that by staying at an all inclusive hotel they save money on their vacation. This is partly because tips and gratuities are included in the rate as well as the price of activities and entertainment. At an all-inclusive resort you don’t have to budget, you just have to have fun. Another benefit to staying at one of the all inclusive resorts is that guests can enjoy the convenience of having everything they need right at their fingertips. Guests don’t need to worry about transportation to and from the airport. Servers and bartenders are happy to accommodate your every need. The guided tour was such an unforgettable experience that we chose to do it a second time. The tour guide was such a great help that we decided to tip him well.
