Archicture was his first activitie. He runs, since 1978, the cooperative Cinema Novo and he is the president of the Fantasporto - Oporto International Film Festival. Mário Dorminsky received from the Portuguese State the Golden Medal of Cultural Merith as well as the Golden of Cultural Merith from the Oporto Town hall. He edits and runs the cinema magazine called “Estreia”. In Portugal, as director of the cooperative, he has organized hundreds of retrospectives and special theatrical and music programmes. He has written several books and among them one on the Zagreb’s Animation School, other on Roger Corman’s work and other called “The Hystory of Cinema” and he was journalist during 15 years writing in a some ne
