"The emergence of mega-cities gives us a strategy to cope with future development, integrating the megastructure that creates the place into the site, becoming a special case of urban development, rather than the annoying broad masses of mutual integration. " -----Kenneth Frampton "Megastructure and city" is my personal design philosophy. Through my trekking experience, with the development of current society, the city lacks a lot of public space and public space is being squeezed by consumerism. Under such cirmustance, megabuilding, due to its huge scale and landmark, can break away from the traditional architectural space and effectively solve the social, cultural, economic and natural problems in the city. This portfolio shows some of my works, using megabuilding to rebuild the order in city: I try to establish a handicraft work system at the three floor, to soft the boundary between Danwei Yard and Highway, which can provide residents a co-living and co-working mode; I try to rebuild a cemetery at the foot of the Leshan Giant Buddha to give people in the city a space for reflection and contemplation; I propse to use Hangzhou's abandoned railroad tracks to build a spectacle tourism system and give a new order around the chaotic West Lake. As for the sea level rise problem in Boston, I try to use three different mega-rings to proivde new living mode for people in the future. As for me, cities in the future need a strong carrier to solve the problems of residents' activities, social systems, and natural changes. The establishment of Mega-building will not only limit the development of the city, but can break through the old system and establish a new framework to achieve the resilient balance in the city. Therefore, in future graduate studies, I want to pursue further exploration of how to design Mega-buildings of different scales to build the order of the city.

The elevated is a representative of the market economy. During the development of Zhengzhou, serious conflicts occurred at the same time. The site is located in Zhengzhou Shimian Cotton Textile Courtyard. The dyeing and fabricmaking process itself is gradually declining. The forced implantation of the elevated bridge interrupts the transportation of the compound. I hope to build a third-level giant transportation system as a public and commercial space to revive the cotton textile industry and to establish a co-living co-working mode to deal with the Kowledge-based Service Industyin the future.

01 THE RINGS Three Self-sufficiency Public Rings Dealing with Rising Sea-level in Boston
JUN 2019 GSD Design discovery program Site: Boston, U.S Instructor: Tatum Lau (E-mail: tlau@gsd.harvard.edu) Group work, partner: Tainia(non-professional background) Redesigned in 2019 Nov: Preliminary Research, Conceptual Design, all the Modeling, Diagram Drawing Water was the enemy of twentieth-century urbanization -----Pierre Bélanger Sea level rise has become a major issue for the future development of cities. This design discusses how megastructures can design different strategies based on when the city is submerged. Allston is located in Boston. In the future, rising sea levels will flood most of Allston's public space. I used three strategies such as resistance to create three functional loops, such as an urban farm, a drainage stadium, and a three-story flyover to cope with the submerged areas at different times. Public and transportation spaces are both inside and above the ring, creating a new life mode after being submerged.

Due to the emergence of mega cities, it is becoming increasingly difficult for people to find absolutely quiet public spaces in the city for reflection. I hope to build a memory condenser hidden underground, which can cause people to think. The intensity of light affects the change of a person's mood. In the design of the cemetery, I adjusted the size and combination of the light tube to create different light effects in different spaces.

MASTER PLAN 1:1000 From 1600 to 2019, the water level of the Leshan Reservoir decreased year by year, and ancient Buddhas gradually emerged from the water. At the same time, due to the expansion of the city, the worship of the Great Buddha gradually reduced the space to worship the dead. The design of the cemetery combines the original big Buddha on the base, sinking underground, and combining the different intensity of light created by the light tube, causing people to remember the city and the dead

Sep 2018 (open project of Studio Alpha) Site: Hang Zhou,China Instructor: Ting Yin Teamwork with Shengrui Xu (Current Student of UCB) Role in Team: Preliminary Research, Conceptual Design(the nodes: West-lake, Wharf and Hefang street), Modeling, Diagram Drawing Resigned in 2019 Dec:including the analysis of Hangzhou and the conecpt of Tourism industry.
Hangzhou is a large-scale tourist city. Tourists are concentrated along the West Lake. At the same time, most of the residents work around the West Lake. There is a great conflict between residents and tourists in traffic. I tried to use Hangzhou's abandoned rails to connect the system of important tourist nodes in Hangzhou with tourism-related industries, as the second level of the city was separated from the level used by citizens. At the same time, the rail tourism system has created new urban wonders, stimulated tourists' consumption, and will become a new landmark in Hangzhou.

ABSTRACT: The intensive society promotes the development of comprehensive and large-scale buildings, and high-rise buildings emerge as the times require. However, high-rise buildings have brought significant challenges to the urban wind environment and pedestrians: on the one hand, high-rise buildings will form a wind shadow surface, and large-scale high-rise buildings will also hinder the flow of wind and reduce the efficiency of the air duct; The bottom layer has the disadvantage of excessive wind speed, which is not conducive to the pedestrian level wind environment.

The white dot lines highlight the boundaries of areas with low urban permeability in the CBD of Singapore. Potential air path III was represented by black line arrows, which is the suggestion air path. Thorough GIS analysis, we found that the low-permeability area on the east side of the CBD is relatively dense on the south side. Fig.5 shows the potential air path in the city and the functional areas it passes through. From fig.5, we found the residential areas on the southwest side of CBD are continuous middle permeability. Only green space inside the residential part disperses high permeability. Therefore, adjusting the green spaces' location in residential areas to consistent with potential air path can also improve the permeability of CBD. Finally, create a suitable living environment for citizens.
CFD SIMULATION: The target building is 180 meters’ high, (based on the rule: each side should more than 5H) so the size of computational domain is 1800m*1800m*600m. In order to reduce the calculation time, only 100 iteration steps are used for simulation. The mesh quality is 0.440, which meets fluid calculation requirements.

The red line emphasizes the outline of the target building. And three building models are designed to test the effects of different building morphologies on natural ventilation p erfo rma n c e. (F i g. 4 a n d F i g . 5 showed the building typology). M o r e o v e r, t h e s e c t i o n i m a g e shows: surrounding buildings inside the circle are lower than target building.
BUILDING SHAPE AND WIND CONDITION:

The site is located in Xiamutang, which is rich in bamboo resources. Through the study of bamboo characteristics, I used the bending and tensile capabilities of bamboo to design a hyperboloid pavilion. We the analysis depond on the computer, we simulated the force form of the hyperboloid, and adopted the force form of the steel cable to cooperate with the bamboo: the steel cable provided the tension, and the four bamboos on the periphery used gravity to offset the tension.
There are three main wind directions in Singapore: north wind, south wind and southwest wind. Refer to Fig.8, there are many buildings on the north side of the target building, which is prone to ventilation problems, and the distance between the target building and the building on the north side is small, which easily forms a long and narrow air duct, which affects the pedestrian environment on the bottom floor.

CONCLUSION: On the windward side of the building, the shape of a step-by-step retreat can effectively block the downward airflow on the windward side of highrise buildings and reduce the impact of downward airflow on pedestrians and streets on the ground. The retreat can be processed multiple times according to the height of the building to enhance the effect.
The site is located in a mountain village with a very beautiful ecological environment. Constructing a solid building with bamboo will destroy the village's natural scenery. The design of the pavilion not only provides villagers with public space for activities, but also protects the beauty of the mountain village.
