The project is about intervening to the existing traditional structures with the mildest possible effect to the architectural character of the area and reproposing uses that the buildings can accommodate. The proposed facilities will attempt to promote environmental and cultural heritage education through eco-friendly activities. The attempt will be financially autosustained by the touristic products trade, which will enhance the local economy, protect and promote the region.

International Competition “Revitalization Freedom Square International Competition in Durres”. In collaboration with Ottone Pignatti Studio Associato. This was a very dense and complex, architecturally, urban area in the center of Durres in Albania. Our intension was to highlight the historical importance of certain zones and make proposals that would optimize the quality of the urban scenery where necessary. We used new technologies, modern materials and bioclimatic design in order to “re-habitate” the area.

Thesis for the diploma of the master “Architettura-Storia-Progetto”, University of Romatre, Architecture faculty Intervantion in the area of Rio Manzanares in the archeological site of Thiermes In collaboration with Laura Cazzaniga (artist), Chiara Gramaccioni (civil engineer), Maria Maurizzio (archeologist)

Our proposal for the intervention is being identified in the area between the “Graderio Rupestre” and the “Necropoli” along the river Manzanares following a desire to qualify in one coherent path between the most important archeological elements of Thiermes and connect them through the existing fascinating landscape, which is unique for it’s panorama of high trees and the existence of water which is very rare in the area.

The synthesis of four elements combine our project. The rest areas, the crossings, the info-point and the pavement. The main path is signalized with a sparse steel pavement. The crossings are simple platforms of the same material. The rest areas are the negative reproduction of the necropolis elements The info-point is a wooden box open from the two sides of which there is the view.
