Use In the Kitchen A combi-oven is a versatile piece of equipment that combines three modes of cooking in one oven, steam, circulated hot air or a combination of both. The combi mode is used to reheat foods and to roast, bake and "oven fry". The steam mode is ideal for rapid cooking of vegetables and shellfish. The hot air mode operates as a normal convection oven for baking cookies, cakes and pastries. The combi mode decreases overall cook times, reduces product shrinkage and eliminates flavour transfer when multiple items are cooked simultaneously. Safety Rules The safety rules of a combi-oven are that you should open the door carefully as hot steam will come out of the door and also you should keep your face away from the oven when the door is opened. Instructions to maintain the equipment hygienically The combi-ovens have a very easy way in which they can be maintained hygienically. The way that they are kept hygienic is through a self clean system which is set on the oven. By doing this the oven will clean itself and kill any bacteria which could still be in the oven. This process is very easy and does not require any effort but may be time consuming.

They can also be used in homes to do simple tasks such as beating egg whites and beating cake batter. Safety Rules Some safety rules for a food processor is to ensure that you do not put your hand near the blade as it is very shape and also make sure that the lid is attached to the machine to prevent any of the food in the processor to come out. Instructions to maintain the equipment hygienically The easiest way to maintain a food processor is to wash the machine after every time it is used and also sanitising it to get rid of any bacteria which may still be inside the processor.

Safety Rules The safety rules for a blender is that you should never put your hands in the blender when it is turned on, never put food in the blender when it is on and also you must put a lid on the blender when in used. Operate blender on dry surface and unplug blender when not using it. Instructions to maintain the equipment hygienically To maintain a blender you should properly wash and sanitise it after every use. It is also vital that you don't put blender in the dishwasher.

Use In the Kitchen A microwave is used in the kitchen to warm up or reheat refrigerated food. It is very useful as it can heat up food very easily and also saves a lot of time. A microwave has different functions which are used when reheating different types of food. Safety Rules When using a microwave it is important to not use any equipment which could melt or catch on fire. Things such as plastic or plastic containers should not be placed in the microwave. Instructions to maintain the equipment hygienically After using a microwave it is important wipe the equipment down as food scraps or bits of jusices may have splattered whilst in the microwave.

Safety Rules The safety rules which should be considered when using a mixer is to ensure that the machine is turned off when you are taking food out of the mixer and also putting the safety netting around it to ensure that any food bits do not go out of the mixer. Instructions to maintain the equipment hygienically A mixer should be washed after use on a regular basis to ensure that food does not stick to machine and also to ensure that new ingredients do not get contaminated.

A grill and griddle can hold and fry a lot more food than a hot plate which saves a lot more time. Safety Rules It is important that when using a grill and griddle you do not touch the hot plate as it is extremely hot and could cause bad burns and you should not stand to close to a grill and griddle as it gets extremely hot and the oil on the hot plate will splatter. Instructions to maintain the equipment hygienically there are many ways to maintain a grill and griddle such as scrapping all the food bits off the hot plate and also after allowing it to cool down disinfecting it to show any cross contamination happening when using it again.

Instructions to maintain the equipment hygienically A deep fryer has many safety rules in order to maintain hygienically such as washing the basket after every use and also changing the oil regularly and also cleaning the fryer regularly as their may be drops of oils and foods which you may have cooked previously which could cause cross contamination.

Safety Rules The main safety rule when using a steamer is to ensure that when you take the lid off of the cooking appliance you do not put your head over the it as hot steam will come out. Instructions to maintain the equipment hygienically The ways that a steamer should be maintain hygienically is that it should be clean after every use and also washed proper which means that they part of the steamer should be properly washed.
