„Nemuno 7“ – tai originalus Nemuno vagą gilinusios žemkasės pavadinimas. Zapyškyje stovintis laivas nebegali būti naudojamas pagal tiesioginę paskirtį dėl pasenusios ir upės ekosistemai žalingos technologijos. Iškeltas tikslas panaudoti žemkasę kaip eksponatą ir kartu erdvę naujai funkcijai. Taip gimė kultūros laivas. „Nemuno 7“ įkurtas tarpdisciplininis menų centras, kuris talpina parodas, kitas kultūrines veiklas, parką ant vandens, menininkų rezidencijas. Laivo denis apželdintas įvairių rūšių augalais – jų integravimas buvo svarbus laivo konversijos uždavinys.

This is the original name of the dredge used to deepen the riverbed in the Nemunas. The vessel at Zapyškis can no longer be used for its intended purpose due to outdated technology that is harmful to the river ecosystem. The aim is to use the dredge as an exhibit and at the same time a space for a new function. Thus, the culture boat was born. „Nemunas 7 is an interdisciplinary arts centre that houses exhibitions, a park on the water, artist residencies and other cultural activities. The deck of the ship is planted with various types of plants. Their integration was one of the essential details of the ship‘s conversion.
