An unforgettable country getaway

Amuri Estate was previously an environmentally-friendly bed and breakfast which has now been developed into a property used for weddings, various events and luxury lodge accommodation. Owners Richard, Debra, and their daughter Vanessa Orr wanted to continue the vision of running a unique and special venue.

This country escape is a place to relax, unwind and feel at peace knowing you’re far away from the city – enjoying the stunning views the 26-acre property has to offer. The lodge allows for an unforgettable getaway for couples or small groups. There are three well decorated and comfortable rooms with joint kitchen, dining, and lounge facilities all warmed by a double-sided schist gas fire, heat pumps and under-floor heating. The guest rooms have their own unique views.

The Wallace Peak cottage is also on offer, which is based near the established olive grove with separate access and views of Mount

Wallace, the Waiau River, and the Hanmer mountain range. The Wallace Peak is the perfect place to relax as guests have their own self-contained space.

At Amuri Estate you can also experience Hanmer Springs’ ultimate wedding, conference, and event venue with amazing views of the Southern Alps. This stunning venue provides intimate and idyllic scenery with flexible options for any wedding or event. The team is friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive of everyone who enters the venue. The newly built area can hold up to 200 people with different spaces to suit individual needs. With various outdoor areas, the modern barn-style main hall is perfect for wedding receptions and large conferences or events.

Amuri Estate is located only an eight-minute drive from the Hanmer Springs village and is 90 minutes away from Christchurch. The wellexperienced team takes care of their guests on their special day.
