BEWL WATER Bewl Water is the largest stretch of open water in the South East of England. The 800 acre site is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in the heart of the High Weald. Open all year, this stunning reservoir provides the perfect backdrop for your event or day out. Whether you're looking to hire space for a private function, conference, staff training or a Christmas party, Bewl Water is one of the most versatile venues in Kent and East Sussex. There are also excellent facilities on site for coach parties and tours with the range of activities and dining facilities on offer.

ACTIVITIES AT BEWL WATER With the largest stretch of open water in the South East of England and 800 acres of scenic landscape, woodland walks and nature trails, there are a host if activities on offer at Bewl Water. Activities include cycling (cycle hire available onsite), nature walks, fishing, sailing, pedalo hire, laser challenge, adventure playgrounds, boat trips and lots more - there really is something for everyone!

DINING AT BEWL WATER There are two eating establishments to choose from at Bewl Water, both perched on the water’s edge with impressive , panoramic views of the reservoir.
THE WATERFRONT CAFÉ The Waterfront Café has a large terrace looking out over the water and is the perfect location to take in the views, enjoy a selection of snacks and ice-cream or a tea/coffee. The Waterfront Café is dog friendly, for friendly dogs.
THE BOAT HOUSE BISTRO Serves a weekly changing, ‘Market Menu’ using only the finest local ingredients,, including freshly caught trout from the reservoir. Offering a nautical theming and unparalleled views, you can sit back, relax and enjoy a wonderful afternoon at The Boat House Bistro.

BEWL WATER BOAT TRIP PACKAGES Group packages are available on The Bewl Belle for a minimum party size of 10 and maximum of 70. Packages include a 45 minute boat trip exploring the reservoir and anything from cream tea, afternoon tea, fish and chips or a 3 course lunch in The Boat House Bistro, prices start from just ÂŁ6.00pp.

ABOUT SALOMONS ESTATE Built in 1860, Salomons Estate is a prestigious Victorian mansion set amidst 36 acres of beautiful Kent countryside and only a 45 minute train journey from London. The former country house has been converted into a series of flexible function rooms, which meet business needs without losing any of their Victorian charm. With numerous event and conference rooms, including a unique Victorian Theatre which seats up to 220 people, leisure facilities on site, 47 guest accommodation bedrooms and parking for over 200 cars, Salomons Estate is one of the largest conference and event venues in the area.

THE HISTORY OF SALOMONS ESTATE Salomons Estate is steeped in history as it originally belong to the Salomons Family. THE MUSEUM Formed from two ground floor rooms and packed with fascinating exhibits that chart the history of three remarkable generations of the Salomons family, the Salomons Estate Museum helps bring to life the people and events that helped shape this ‘mansion of many marvels’. The museum is open everyday 9am-5pm and is free to attend. THE WELTE ORGAN The Science Theatre houses one of the finest Welte player pipe organs ever installed in Britain. The Welte Organ is unique in that it has always been in situ in the Science Theatre, this outstanding example of a private Victorian theatre is largely untouched by time or cosmetic modification. To walk into this superb building is a breath taking experience as one is immediately aware of its almost cathedral-like atmosphere.
