HYDROPONIC GARDENING INDOORS Hydroponic gardening is the method of growing plants without soil. Regardless of what the weather forecast predicts, hydroponic gardening provides a simple way to grow herbs, vegetables and fruits, indoors. HOW DOES IT WORK? In order for plants to grow, they need water, sunlight, nutrients and carbon dioxide. In this type of gardening, the water dissolves the nutrients around the plant roots. In some systems, the plant roots dangle in the water while in others, the plants are placed in a soil substitute such as clay pebbles or peat moss.

IS IT WORTH IT? Not only will your plants most likely grow much bigger and more quickly than if planted in the ground but also most systems require much less water than traditional gardening. Perhaps the biggest takeaway is that because there is no need for soil, you don’t have to experience dealing with pests and diseases that need soil to survive.
