CO-CURRICULAR PROGRAMME SENIOR SCHOOL 2021/2022

WELCOME We are pleased to announce our co-curricular programme for senior school pupils from Year 7 – 13. The programme has been carefully put together to ensure that it supports our curriculum and provides a wide variety of opportunities so that every student can be involved and benefit. The co-curricular life of a school is a place where students can make friends, go on adventures, learn new skills and forge lifelong passions.

AIMS We aim to provide a co-curricular programme that:

+ Gives students the opportunity to develop a sense of enjoyment and passion for life.

+ Encourages curiosity, critical thinking and a sense of adventure. + Builds individual character as well as a collaborative community spirit. + Provides opportunities for students to explore, experiment and excel at different activities.

VALUES We are committed to the following values in terms of how we approach every activity within the co-curricular life of the school

Enthusiasm ... Having the right attitude towards something makes all the difference Participation ... Keeping an open mind, trying something new and getting involved can lead to life-changing discoveries Teamwork ... Mutual respect, integrity, being dependable, considering and including others ensures that all succeed Responsibility ... Taking responsibility for our actions and making the most of every opportunity Ambition ...

Reaching beyond what we think is possible

PRIORITY TIMETABLE The priority time table has been designed to help students to organise their involvement in the co-curricular program. Certain activities are given priority over others in the available time slots during the week. So if, for example, a student is selected for a drama production and for a sports team, they would be able to take part in both activities without them clashing. It would also ensure they have other time slots available where they could opt in to one of the other clubs that are offered.
