UK’s First Degree in Economics, Finance and Data Science A new degree from Imperial College, London allows students to study economics and finance combined with data science and a new approach to leadership.

Representatives of over 50 Companies and Organisations volunteered their time to give valuable advice and guidance to students in Years 11 & 12 at the Careers Convention, our first since October 2019. A big “thank you” to all the exhibitors and staff involved in setting up and running the event.

The exhibitors all commented on how well the students engaged and the preparation that they had done to ask worthwhile and demanding questions! Students can reflect on their experience via their Grofar account (check school email for a link) Mr P Meadway (event organiser)

Year 12 will have the option to attend specific sessions in the Summer Term lecture slots.

Employers have various titles for sponsored degree schemes, including school leaver programmes, sponsored degrees and scholarship schemes. It might sound confusing, but the great news is that in all cases you can expect more than an average degree, including one year industrial placements, paid summer work experience and annual scholarship or bursary payments n

Year 12: University Mathematics in Perspective Mathematics Summer School 2022 - Three new virtual courses from The Leeds University Smallpeice Trust This short course for sixth-form students will provide an introduction to mathematics at the University of Leeds. We will offer you a sneak preview of university life plus an insight into how mathematics develops at degree level. Our University tutors will extend and enrich your existing study of mathematics at A-level (or equivalent) through talks and interactive sessions.

We will give you an invaluable insight into the structure of mathematics degrees, the courses, admissions procedure and how to make the most of your application to university. Apply soon as places are expected to fill quickly!

Food Science and Nutrition Summer School 2022 Leeds University A two day residential for Year 12 science students. It will take place on Monday 18 July - Tuesday 19 July 2022. The Food Science & Nutrition Summer School aims to give young scientists an introduction to this multidisciplinary science subject and find out more about studying the subject at the University of Leeds All year 12 pupils currently studying at least one core (biology, chemistry, physics or maths) science subject at

Year 12: Biological Sciences Summer School 2022 Leeds University Online sessions from Tuesday 5 July - Wednesday 7 July. On-Campus Taster Day on Wednesday 13 July. As well as taking part in lectures, students will be involved in a project of their preference, getting to experience what researching is really like from start to finish.
