Careers in Chemical Sciences This very special escape game showcases a range of surprising careers in the chemical sciences. This game is aimed towards 14-16 year olds with content relevant to GCSE. It will show you students what it is like to work with chemistry in areas such as volcanology, antarctic research and biomedical writing.

Animation Summer Studio 25 July - 5 August The 3Dami Summer Studio is a chance for young people to create a 3D film in just 10 days. With the help of animation experts, the successful applicants to the course will get hands-on experience in how to make animated film from start to finish. 3Dami Summer Studio is open to students aged 13 to 18 (pre-university). It’s free and delivered online so its accessible to young people across the UK. Applications close 11 July. More information: read here

Humberside Police are hosting a unique careers evening on Tuesday 12 July Students will have the opportunity to experience all areas of Humberside Police and the careers we have to offer both as Police Staff and Police Officers. YEARS 8-10 → Year 9 will be attending a Higher Education Experience Day in conjuction with staff and students from Hull University on 28 June. They will be learning about the range of courses available in HE, student budgeting and finance, meet current students with a Q & A session and take a tour of the University. Pictionary and Monopoly included! → Year 10 will be completing their interest-based analysis via the MyFutureChoice careers programme. This is in preparation for the busy year ahead. A-CINCH summer school 10–14 July, University of Leeds Augmented Cooperation in education and training in Nuclear Chemistry – A-CINCH project – is hosting its inaugural four-night residential summer school. Giving post-16 school students from across the EU a taster of the nuclear and radiochemistry sector, including the wide variety of careers available. The school is aimed at 16–18-yearold students with an interest in
chemistry, nuclear physics or medical physics who would like a greater insight into working life in the nuclear or radiochemistry sectors. A wide range of activities are included, such as using cutting edge virtual reality educational tools, group tasks and site visits. Register your details
