WELCOME FROM JAMIE CLAPHAM
JAMIE CLAPHAM HEAD COACH
Good afternoon and welcome to today’s UCL Premier Division North game here at Loughborough University Stadium. I’m delighted to welcome Anstey Nomads management team, players, officials and supporters.
Todays game was going to be third versus fourth in the league despite results on Tuesday night. Due to the cancellation of Anstey’s game it gave us the opportunity to go above them in the league If we beat Holbeach. Holbeach had the potential to be a banana skin. Low on points and potential confidence. We also know how players can up there game coming to play at our stadium but the mentality of the players and the early goal soon got us into our stride and it turned out to be a solid professional display We last played Anstey in October where we came away losing 3-1. I’m sure both teams will feel they have improved since then so it should be an exciting game. After today we will be travelling to Stirling University for the semi final of the BUCS knock out and then return Home for the Quarter final in the VA Vase next Saturday. Our opponents, Wythenshawe Town, beat Todays opposition on penalties in the last round. So todays game is that start of an exciting week of football for the players and staff at loughborough. As always thank you for your support and enjoy the game!
