It has been a productive week for the Lightning Performance Team who have been training well and working hard in the gym to maintain their momentum as we head into a free weekend. We are hoping to get a friendly in the diary for this weekend but after a run of 5 unbeaten games it gives us a great opportunity to regroup ahead of some tough upcoming fixtures against the likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Middlesbrough, Nottingham Forest and Stoke City. Our Lightning Development team are also doing well after a 4-2 win over Lincoln at the weekend. They travel to Stoke City FC at the weekend in the hope to pick up 3 more points. Finally, I would like to wish good luck to our Women’s BUCS 2s who face East Anglia in the Final of the BUCS Cup next Wednesday 9th March, 5pm Kick off at the Stadium. It would be great to get a big crowd down to support and hopefully bring the cup home! NEXT MATCH: Sunday 13 March v’s Wolves, Home KO 15.00
