Facilities

THE COLLEGE ALLOWS YOU THE SPACE TO TAKE HOLD OF YOUR OWN LEARNING AND INDEPENDENCE WITH DEDICATED SPACES TO STUDY, TO COLLABORATE ON GROUP PROJECTS, AND TO SOCIALISE DURING FREE PERIODS.

CATERING

The main place to buy food and drink is the Bridge Cafe. They have a varied menu of hot and cold refreshments, including breakfasts, sandwiches and baguettes, snacks, pasta pots, salads and main meals. There is also the Cold Deli in the PAC foyer, where the menu includes toasties, wraps, sandwiches, pasta, and hot and cold drinks. Both the Bridge Cafe and the Cold Deli are cashless. Payment is made by debit card or by using your student ID card, where funds can be deposited through ParentPay.

SOCIAL SPACES

The Pavilion is the main social space in College where students can meet friends and unwind. There is also a covered outdoor area with tables and grass areas for warm weather.

STUDY SPACES

Various study environments are provided to ensure that you make the best use of your free time. If you like to work with a friend or in a small group, the Library is the place to go. If you prefer to study on your own and in silence, the calm atmosphere of The Cloisters or the Silent Study space are bound to appeal to you. The Reading Room is available for quiet working and the newly refurbished Study Space has computers and group study spaces.

SPORTS FACILITIES

Our sports facilities include; an on-site gym, a four court sports hall with sprung floors, a physiology laboratory, a 3G floodlit all weather pitch, three international standard netball courts, three outdoor tennis courts, and a fully maintained grass training area.

MUSIC SUITE

The Music Department has purpose built and acoustically engineered spaces; including a recording studio, recital room, computer suite, and multiple practice rooms.

DANCE STUDIO

There is a large dance studio available to Dance and Musical Theatre students, with mirrors and a sprung floor, complete with changing facilities.

PERFORMING ARTS CENTRE

The Performing Arts Centre is a professional standard theatre with seating for 160 and an impressive, state of the art lighting set-up and sound system.

SCIENCE LABORATORIES

Each science subject has its own fully equipped, spacious laboratories which enable plenty of practical work to be carried out. Laptops are available for use in theory lessons, to facilitate research, writing up experiments and practicals, analysing data and data logging. The labs are fully air conditioned and wheelchair accessible.

ONE OF THE ASSETS OF THE COLLEGE THAT STANDS OUT TO ME IS THE ATTITUTE TO LEARNING. I OFTEN LACK MOTIVATION TO WORK AND STUDY, BUT IN THE LIBRARY I AM SURROUNDED BY FRIENDS AND WORKMATES DEEP IN STUDY. ONE CAN ONLY ENCOURAGE AND BE ENCOURAGED. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS INCREDIBLE PLACE.
