BECAUSE BUSINESS IS NO LONGER CHARACTERISED BY A STABLE AND PREDICTABLE ENVIRONMENT. BECAUSE INNOVATION IS THE KEY. BECAUSE INTERACTION BETWEEN COMPANIES IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVER.
WE ARE...
Moving into innovation Come September 2012, ESADE is moving into a new campus - a brand new, purpose-built, modern facility - that will become home to The ESADE MBA, the natural next step in its growth. Directly connected by public transport to central Barcelona in under 30 minutes, and adjacent to ESADE Creapolis, a hub for Open and Cross Innovation, the possibilities for synergy are endless.
The world is facing turbulent times. In a difficult global situation, we adapt and change to continue expanding and broadening our horizons. Innovation is the key, which means new ways of thinking, dynamic interaction between companies, and studying and working in a multicultural pioneering business environment. Moving to the new Barcelona Sant Cugat campus is an opportunity for The ESADE MBA and part of our strategic plan to move with the times. By sharing facilities with companies that have one common goal – to accelerate innovation – they, together with our MBA students and faculty face an enriching challenge and gain a great advantage. A unique opportunity not offered by any other MBA programme anywhere else the world.

MOVING INTO INNOVATION VIDEO
ESADE Creapolis houses more than 60 companies from a wide variety of sectors, making this an optimum environment for innovation, knowledge exchange, and networking.
Moving into flexibility
Choose the length of your life-changing experience (12-15-18 months) Students arrive at ESADE with a set of objectives, which often change during the programme as new opportunities present themselves. The MBA frequently changes participants’ perspectives, the reason behind our ultimate flexible MBA format, allowing the individual to decide on the length of their MBA (12, 15 or 18 months) in May at the end of Term 3. Once students know what their options are for exchange or internship, or both, they can choose the format that best fits their professional career objectives.

Before beginning my MBA, I already had a clear goal: to become an entrepreneur. With this in mind, I decided to take full advantage of the core courses and electives and the wide variety of projects organised throughout the MBA to build on my entrepreneurial skills. The flexible format of the programme allowed me to choose the 12-month track and return to Taiwan at the earliest opportunity to start new projects. I am currently working on a mobile application within the healthcare sector, a project stemming from the IBMNovartis NCD Challenge case competition in which my team was among the winning teams globally. The MBA has truly been a transforming experience.
I decided to do an MBA because I wanted to broaden the scope of my knowledge with a new challenge and an MBA would help me gain the skills needed to take me to the next level. The flexible format length at ESADE and the 15-month track was perfect for me because I didn’t want to be out of the job market for 2 full years, but I still wanted the chance to do an internship. I accomplished my main goal, as I will be a part of the intern program at Apple this summer. I am going to spend 12 weeks in California working within Operations. I am excited about this opportunity and I’m sure it wouldn’t have been possible if I hadn’t been here at ESADE.

18 months
The single most important reason why I applied to ESADE is the flexibility they offer to students. When I had to choose between one of three tracks (12, 15 or 18 months), making the decision was really easy. I already knew I was going to be doing my internship at American Express London and because I wanted to specialize in finance, I had decided to do my exchange at Chicago Booth. In 18 months I will have the chance to live in three cities, study and network at two different universities and gain valuable professional experience. Rafael Valdez Giner (Peru)
