Electrical Installation at Andover will give you the opportunity to learn Commercial, Industrial, and Domestic installation work, both practical and theory, covering Electrical Science, Health and Safety, Overseeing the work environment and Installation Practices.

EAL – ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION ELECTRO-TECHNICAL INSTALLATION (BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES)

DIPLOMA • LEVEL 2 This course includes the technical knowledge and practical skills to help start off your career in the Electrical industry. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Five GCSEs at grade 5 or above, including Maths, English and preferably Science. Plus, a favourable report from school or relevant experience and knowledge of the Electrical Contracting industry. WHAT NEXT Level 3 Electrical Installation course or Apprenticeship in Electrical Installation, Level 3 NVQ programme.

EAL – ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION ELECTRO-TECHNICAL INSTALLATION (BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES)

DIPLOMA • LEVEL 3 This course is for those already holding the EAL or City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma or with relevant experience and knowledge of the Electrical industry who wish to enhance their career prospect. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Successful completion of the EAL or City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations or equivalent, or suitable relevant experience and knowledge of the Electrical Contracting industry. WHAT NEXT You could progress straight into employment or alternatively a Level 4 qualification. There is also the option to progress to Higher Education HNC/HND or Degree.

INDUSTRY WORK PLACEMENTS

As part of our EAL Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Electrical Installation, all students will complete a work placement in the industry throughout the academic year. If you are already working in the industry, you could use your part-time job towards this module. Your weekly timetable will include one dedicated work placement day and there will be group tutorial sessions throughout the year, in order to complete time sheets and portfolios.
