Understanding our world and how we, as humans, impact upon it has never been as important as it is now. The world and its environment is changing. Whilst Geography and Environmental Science explore lots of complex issues that we must understand. They delve into the natural elements of the world such as the atmosphere, land and oceans, how the earth was formed and how it is changing over time.

A LEVEL • LEVEL 3 Environmental Science is the scientific study of how the environment supports us and how our way of life threatens these support systems.

A LEVEL • LEVEL 3 You will study our relationship with and the impacts upon the environment, society, other people and different cultures.

NOTES:

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Five GCSEs at grade 9–4, including a grade 5 in Maths, English and a Science subject. BTEC Level 2 qualifications considered in subject related courses. WHAT NEXT Environmental science complements career paths in Nature Conservation, Forestry, Climatology and the Energy and Water industry. This subject is also highly sought after in Higher Education.
