Our childcare and early years’ courses explore the concept of child development, through both the child and the role of the practitioner whilst developing the necessary skills needed to work with children through placement settings. With work placements forming a vital part of our Level 2 and Level 3 early years programmes you can be reassured to know that this is all taken care of by us.

EARLY YEARS – CARING FOR CHILDREN

CACHE DIPLOMA • LEVEL 1 This course offers you an introduction into understanding the care and development needed to help a child grow and learn. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Three GCSEs at grade 1 or above, including English and Maths. WHAT NEXT Progression on to CACHE Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner.

CACHE DIPLOMA • LEVEL 2 This course will suit those interested in working with children. Work experience is a key element to the course, and you will have the opportunity to work in a pre-school, school or day nursery allowing you to put the theory into practice. TECHNICAL DIPLOMA • LEVEL 3 This course will suit those interested in becoming Early Years Educators and develops your skills in working with children through placement settings, in age ranges from 0–7 years. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Four GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English and Maths. WHAT NEXT Progression on to Level 3 Early Years course

CHILDCARE AND EDUCATION (EARLY YEARS EDUCATOR)

or Apprenticeship. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Five GCSE’s at grade 4 or above, including English and Maths and Science. WHAT NEXT A career in the early year’s sector or related university courses.
