ADULT FEES AND FUNDING

There’s lots of help available. If you are 19 or older and fulfil government conditions you could be entitled to a funded course and study for free! Check inside or on our websites sparsholt.ac.uk and andover.ac.uk to find out which courses are eligible and more.

Check website for funding eligibility relating to non-UK residents and living in a devolved funding area. Non-UK residents without settled or pre-settled status and those living in one of the devolved funding areas (Devolved Areas: Cambridge and Peterborough, Greater Manchester, Greater London, Liverpool City Region, North of Tyne, South Yorkshire, Tees Valley, West of England, West Midlands, West Yorkshire) may be subject to higher course fees than those published including those that are listed as “FREE”.

^ Our Level 2 online learning courses are free to eligible learners aged 24+ regardless of previous qualifications. Eligible learners aged 19 to 23 can access free courses if they have already achieved a full Level 2 qualification or equivalent. learners aged 19 to 23 who have not already achieved a full Level 2 qualification, may be subject to costs. Please contact the College for further clarification.

All fee remission is subject to availability of Government funding at the start date of a course and eligibility criteria. All fees quoted are correct at the time of print and may be subject to change.

Learners aged 16–18 on 31/8/22 and who are eligible to enrol on a course should contact Admissions to ask about fees.

Advanced Learner Loan

More and more people are heading back to learning especially now they can access funding support through Advanced Learner Loans for courses from Level 3 to 6 like Access to Higher Education courses and Diplomas. The loans are available to students aged 19 and over, cover tuition fees and are paid back once the course is completed and you’re earning more than £27,295 a year, so there is no upfront cost. Plus, if your loan is for an Access course and you then go on to complete a full degree, your loan for the Access course will be written off.

Help with childcare

If you’re under 20 and have a child you may be eligible for help with Ofsted-registered childcare and some travel expenses through the Care to Learn scheme. Further details can be found at direct.gov.uk/caretolearn or from the National Careers Service.

If you’re 20 or over and have a household income of less than £32,960 childcare support may be available from the college.

Additional funding

If your household income is under £32,960, the college may be able to help with the costs of travel, books, equipment or any other cost which may make it difficult for you to attend college.
