WORK CONTINUES ON £2.5 MILLION ANIMAL HEALTH AND WELFARE RESEARCH CENTRE DEVELOPMENT

Work is well underway on the development of our new leading edge applied animal teaching facilities. Home of the National Zoo Academy, the first facilities to open at the Animal Health and Welfare Research Centre will be the newly renovated Veterinary Nursing Centre and a brand new state-of-the-art Hydrotherapy Pool.

THE CAREERS HUB IS OPEN!

Sparsholt College has officially launched our new Careers Hub. Based in the college library, this new space contains comprehensive information and support for students to explore when looking at life after college.

Our Learning Technology Coaches aim to integrate technology into land-based subjects, educating students and staff to work with a wide variety of equipment such as a drone, 360-degree camera, Virtual Reality headsets and Swivl. Current students with a keen interest in technology, they are always exploring new opportunities to use this in learning, such as flying the drone over a crop to check growth patterns or helping create an impressive digital portfolio using Mahara.

Our students also benefit from a wide range of subject-specific technology to enhance their learning – look out for this icon on subject pages.

XXXXX-A-SK7 In 2019 we welcomed local school students to our 450 acre campus for the first Sparsholt Futures event. Four science fairs in one day in one amazing location, it opened Year 8/9 students’ eyes to an amazing future of science, technology and engineering careers, showcased by our industry exhibitors and college teams. Drones in the air, small robots on the ground, virtual reality mixed with hands-on experience. It’s not all about mud and muck – it’s about science for a sustainable future!
