Hosted at Humber Street Gallery, Principal, Major Partners, Marketing Humber Directors and Advisory Board attended a roundtable event entitled ‘Promoting the Humber – the Year Ahead’. Around 40 business leaders discussed the challenges and opportunities for their own businesses, the region and how Marketing Humber can help to promote the region during 2022.

One shared challenge for all businesses, was the issue of recruitment and retention of talent and skills in the workforce.

Identity of place, demonstrating career pathways, and training were all identified as key factors in raising the awareness of the opportunities in the Humber.

In response, Marketing Humber produced a new recruitment resource for young talent, ‘Your Time’, and dedicated the Bondholder Breakfast to addressing these key skills and talent challenges during the launch of Humber Business Week.

Hosted at the historic Jubilee Central, Principal, Major Partners, Directors and Advisory Board heard from keynote speakers; Opportunity Humber, Rugby League World Cup and

CBI. Around 50 business leaders joined us in the unique event space to hear updates on critical issues for the Humber and discuss how opportunities for the Humber could be maximised.
