The other process consists of manufacture from 1,2-dichloroethane and ammonia under attuned pressure at the temperature of 180 degree Celsius in an aqueous medium with diethylenetriamine (DETA) and triethylenetetramine (TETA) as derivatives. The major applications of ethylenediamine (EDA) include a variety of industries such as pharmaceuticals, fuel & energy, textiles, agrochemicals, paints & coatings, and mining. It is also utilized in chelating agents, elastomeric fibers, fuel additives, mineral processing aids, plastic lubricants, rubber processing additives, urethane chemicals, bleach activators, corrosion inhibitors, fungicides, lubricating oils, pharmaceuticals, polyamide resins, and textile additives.
