Development: I managed the process of bringing this design into buildable construction documents
Documentation: The results clearly conveyed the technical aspects of a complicated design
BIG Spiral: Construction Administration Planted terraces and streetscape for a commercial office building Manhattan, NY
Submittals:
Communication: Frequent meetings are continuously required to keep the project moving.
Results: As the project progresses, each iteration more closely reflected the designer’s vision.
Ford Foundation Atrium: Acclimation Services Restored historic interior landscape Manhattan, NY
Acclimation: Weekly visits with the maintenance contractor to facilitate the establishment of a
landscape in a uniquely challenging environment, while communicating and maintaining the intent of the design.
Maintenance Manual: Updated the maintenance manual to reflect current practices as lessons are learned and problems solved.

Pest Management: Developed a pest management plan that relied on pest predators and eschewed chemical controls.
Issaquah Park System: Maintenance Gap Analysis Municipal Park System Issaquah, WA
Gap Analysis: How can a municipal park system take better care of their parks? I used this
Maintenance Requirements per Park
analysis to calculate the personnel gap between the current and desired levels of service, providing concrete direction for this developing community. Park Inventory

Collect and Connect: Graduate Thesis The Ironbound Neighborhood Newark, NJ
Identify and Inventory: In my study of the Ironbound, I inventoried over 400 sites with land uses
incongruous with the dense character of the neighborhood. Most were surface parking, brown fields, or vacant.
Themed Networks: I used these sites to create themed networks through the neighborhood, anchored by the sites and connected by streets. Stormwater Management
Urban Agriculture
School Anchored Neighborhoods
Bound Together: This study envisions a connective system reinforcing existing neighborhood activity and providing more space to express the vibrant character of this community.

Restore: Through intimate knowledge of both the plants and the design, I worked to make necessary adjustments to optimize plant health and the intended aesthetic.
Fine Gardening Maintaining a Master’s Design Manhattan, NY
Study: Using published materials and design documents for the garden, I learned how Peit Oudolf used Color, harmony, and contrast in a matrix planting to create a beautiful garden.
Images above from Planting: A New Perspective
Document: Perennial plantings shift over time, and more aggressive plants can take over as the
planting matures and adjusts to local conditions. I noted where the design had degraded, and made a plan to restore it.
