...introduction Welcome to 8DM’s brand identity brochure. The contents outline how we develop our branding solutions for our clients. The formula we adopt with any brand campaign reviews the company and the industry sector they operate within. We take into consideration many aspects when designing a new brand as we know that company branding is at the forefront of every business. Our designs are developed with the companies media campaigns in mind, therefore simplicity and clarity are paramount to any of our designs. 8DM is a creative brand, web and marketing strategies agency providing business infrastructure to new and established companies. Our services include: Brand design, website design & development, business stationery & literature design & business marketing strategies.

Right-aligned logo and text branding with strapline This is an example of a right-aligned logo image with company brand text. The strapline is edgealigned and placed within the white space below the text and aligned with the boundary of the lowercase overhang.

This layout is very simplistic and provides visual structure and clarity. With no strapline the logo is clean and easy to understand.

This layout is symmetrical in design and puts the emphasis on the logo. The text branding provides clarity and clear understanding.

Logo Black Logos presented on dark or black backgrounds are very effective and provide engaging and stunning visual perceptions. They are highlighted clearly and can give a 3D illusion. The opposite colour should be used for total clarity, however other primary colours can be used and will also provide the desired effect. (e.g - Balck & Orange or Black & Red) The strapline can be placed aligned or offset to add emphasis.

Linking a company name using a standard monogram or logotype can be very effective and creates a simplistic brand design.

The same principle applies with this layout for those clients who prefer above and below symmetry.

Grayscale Grayscale can help highlight part of your brand, for example the business name in a darker colour will appear more prominently alongside a grayscale monogram or logotype.

Logotype and symbols can be positioned in many different ways. We provide you with a variety of options, giving you the flexibility to choose which suits your company vision best.

Colour Swatches We look at primary and secondary colour swatches to see which colours interact with each other and how they look in print and digital format. The use of colour envokes visual enhancements that are different for all of us. Colour psychology can be used effectively to help clients make decisions based upon their own interaction with a brands colour balance, their own behavioural choices and their individual understanding of the company itself, the industry and the contextual link.

Shades, Shadows & Depth We use a variety of shades and shadows to create effects that can captivate and be thought provoking for the viewer. Words and images can be defined with clever use of backgrounds, midtones, undertones, opacity, boldness, italics, hue saturation, colour balance, colour mixes and burns.

Serif vs San Serif & Creative vs Artistic Typeface and font styles are presented in many different ways. Dependent upon your style and company image, font can be used to indicate, traditional company values against new trends and leading innovations. Typography We use typography to develop clear and understandable branding. Typography is used for consistency across all media and marketing solutions.
