Interior Render
Beach Journey The main strategy is to bring horizontal feeling of the beach experience to the vertical aspects of the building, and to combine living environments, working environments, and commercial environments together to create a multi-functional living environment.

The aim is to keep the building slender, while clearly demarcating space between two suburbs to create the feeling of a landmark. Two glass curtain wall floors create a gap, reflecting the idea and feeling of two buildings separating the site into 3 spatial sections, as the site analysis shows. The window and unit are set to face the north, enhancing the sea view and sunlight received by each room. The addition of north and south-facing private balconies create a homely (house) feeling and increase the sense of community among residents. The addition of the north and south-facing balconies also helps to engage the outside view, bringing it into the interior design. The glass curtain wall and white sun shade panels create a non-directional and non-gravitational feeling. The material's reflection hides the building in the sky and invites visitors into the Glenelg area. The elements of color and design match the historic surroundings; as a result, the building is rooted in its Glenelg setting. Changing the distance between each sun shade panel guides the residents to the balcony through view changing, producing a jetty-like feeling which reflects the nature of the site. These panels also bring an environmental element (the trees surrounding the street) into the facade.

The market will have many attributes other than the mere sale of the building. The market will also invite handcraft maker, food industry, crafter industry and other recreational activities. Therefore, the market will benefit all residents. Children can watch and learn while each industry goes through the process of creation. Kitchen classes could be run to educate local residents. Playing with an open and close feeling evokes the site analysis of creating an interesting space in the market. The market itself is a closed space, helping to control the light and noise and retaining the site in its previous condition. The shared office space has been designed using a glass internal wall to give people a sense of open space and comfort. Open space, closed space, individual working space, and communication space make the public office open for many company sizes while creating a unique working environment.
