Lime Rock Park’s 2020 Season To Feature New Touring Car Festival Among Its Five Auto Racing Weekends LAKEVILLE, Conn.—Lime Rock Park, the historic motorsports and entertainment destination located in the idyllic hills of Northwest Connecticut, is gearing up for an impressive 2020 season, including five major auto racing weekends. New in 2020 will be the first-ever Touring Car Festival, featuring the TC America and Pirelli GT4 America SprintX series, both managed by SRO Motorsports America. This exhilarating, two-day event will kick off Lime Rock’s racing season with practice and qualifying on Friday, May 8, 2020, and competition on Saturday, May 9, 2020. TC America’s popular touring car classes—TCR, TC and TCA—offer some of the fastest racing in the country with on-track action held among two, 40-minute races. Equally exciting, the Pirelli GT4 America SprintX series features a one-hour race with two drivers per car and a mandatory driver change during pit stops. “Lime Rock Park is pleased to add this world class event to next year’s schedule,” said Skip Barber, Lime Rock Park President. “The Touring Car Festival will provide fans with extraordinarily close racing action along with non-stop food and entertainment options for all ages. Plus, this will be just one of five major races that’s sure to make our 2020 season the best in Lime Rock’s 63-year history.” Racing will continue on May 22-25, 2020, with the Memorial Day Classic, featuring competition from the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli, the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association and International GT. This holiday weekend will also include the annual Royal’s Garage Car Show and the Farm-To-Track Memorial Day Picnic on Sunday, May 24, 2020. 1

On June 12 and 13, 2020, the Park will host the Sports Car Club of America’s New England Regionals with classes for every kind of race car imaginable from virtually stock sedans and sports cars to formula cars of every type. The season’s largest race, the International Motorsports Association (IMSA) Northeast Grand Prix, will be held on July 17-18, 2020, and feature the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. This fan-favorite weekend offers the fastest GT cars in the country with GTLM and GTD classes racing simultaneously in a 160-minute battle of the beasts. Rounding out the season will be the 38th annual Lime Rock Historic Festival held over Labor Day weekend, Sept. 3-7, 2020. Along with 36 vintage sports car races spanning three days, the event features the Sunday in the Park Concours with more than 800 vehicles on display around the 1.5-mile track. This year’s Festival is poised to be larger than ever with the addition of competitors from the Vintage Racer Group along with the Vintage Sports Car Club of America. Tickets for all five major races are currently on sale at discounted, pre-season pricing. For more information, visit www.LimeRock.com or call (860) 435-5000.
