HAIKU POEMS


WHAT IS A HAIKU? ●

A kind of poem invented by master Basho, a Japanese poet.

After some difficulties in his life, he decided to travel from place to place teaching poetry.

His students built him a hut (basho in Japanese) and that's where its name comes from.

17 syllables (5-7-5 or other combinations)

Topics: nature (specially flowers and trees) people, feelings.

HAIKU ANIMATION


Write your own HAIKU STEPS: Think about something that has stuck in your memory. Write a list words about it. Write a draft of the poem. Try to follow the structure (5-7-5). Copy your haiku on the card and HOW TO WRITE A HAIKU decorate it.
