A music producer, singer, songwriter, entrepreneur, and a free spirit. Her consistent taste and music style help this 23-years old female maintaining her existency in music career along with her band. Currently pursuing her career in music while balancing her design study and her own bakery in Kemang, Jakarta, this tough lady never forget to fill her days through jamming sessions and covering songs along with the help with her closest friends. In the future, this inspirational lady will love to be a successful singer who independently producting her own music along with her unique personality.




THE P H I LO SOPHY

MH The general idea of the MPH Logo is to represent Marini Putri Habibie only through her initials. With such unique personality and amount of activities she had, I list several keywords that describe her to create the image. The independent, simple, and woman power are chosen to inspire the making of the logo. Following her personal taste, the handwriting effect is added due to the special request. With some trials and errors, I manage to create a simple logo that will represent her fully. The final decision is to create a single image that can be read as both her main intials, which is M or H


There are no two alphabets can be combined and read easily as both. Starting from the M and finally adjusted to be written as H. The middle name are not mainly used, so the M/H logo can be really reliable as an identity branding. The main point I want to share in this logo is its personality. Some woman prefer monochrome color in their daily life, including me and Marini. But there has to be something to represent her as a woman, so I try to draw the curve as smooth as possible with a little rough edge and shadowy effect. Although it might seem a little masculine, I somehow think it represents her strong yet feminine personality. She also has a good taste and a unique individual, and I hope people can see her wholy in this visual identity branding.


LO G O R E QU I R E MENTS

The M/H logo is Marini’s brand signature. Make sure it is legible, prominent, and tasteful. The basic rules of the logo must fulfil these requirements below : WEB To ensure legibility of the logo on the web, it is important that the vertical version is never used below 23 px by 23.5 px. The smallest size for the horizontal version is 45 px by 16.5 px. PRINT The smallest printed representation of the logo should measure no less than .375 inches wide for the vertical version and .75 inches wide for the horizontal version. For smaller spaces, it is also acceptable to use the Cigna wordmark alone, without the name on the bottom. EMBROIDERY, SILKSCREENING If the logo is reproduced using processes such as embroidery, silkscreening or pad printing, the register mark may be deleted. Color

The logo must have clear space area with the minimum length of 50% length of the logo size from the furthest side of the letter and the name.

The only exception due to size impossibility is only for: 1. physical CD label 2. business card 3. printed stationary (pen, notepad, etc) This minimum clear space sized is valid for any image or illustration that occured, text, border, image, pattern, and color.

Preferred color treatment of the M/H logo is: - Standard version on white or light background - One-color on solid color background The standard version of the M/H logo may only be placed one color version which is white (Pantone: GRIS 1 C / Code: 9010)

LO G O S WATC H

A one-color version of the logo may be used over a solid color background including plain swatch, pattern, or high quality photo. Consideration must be done to make sure to select a color from the palette that will provide adequate contrast and legibility of the logo as well as cohesion with the layout palette. If no palette color combinations work well, modify the background contrast or color. In a one-color printing process, you may use the M/H logo in the one color that you are printing with, but the colors of the logo should never be altered otherwise.

RESTRICTIONS

The following restrictions were made to avoid false image or misuse of the logo. There will be multipe usage and modifications through the logo on several medias but it all has to make sure to pay attention to this restriction. There are several standard points need to be cleared on in order to keep the M/H logo neat and giving the same image.

1. Logo Background Make sure to use eligible image or solid color swatch

Never change the M/H logo swatch, dimensions, and thickness.

3. Logo Distortion

Make sure the logo size is proportioned and having its clear space.

The only acceptable rotation is 90o clockwise / counterclockwise

HEADLINE FONT Use Baskerville Bold or Regular for all headlines in print. ALL CAPS is preferred for headlines, but sentence case is also an option. You may also mix ALL CAPS with lowercase to help emphasize a word or a point. As a general rule, the Baskerville font should be tracked to -20pt. The word spacing should be adjusted on an individual basis (it tends to need less tightening).

Although the logo should be in monochrome, the color scheme of the logo are recommended as below

This color scheme is the basic solid color that suits the personality of M/H logo. Gradation, changing of saturation / warmth / hue are not acceptable. The minimum usage of color combination is in the amount of two with matching tone.
