Author and supervisor of the project planning and execution of a rural warehouse rehabilitation into a country house. Strengthened on-site problem solving skills: led project review meetings with key stakeholders (client, engineers, contractors, etc.) and negotiated bills of materials on behalf of the customer. A noteworthy remark is the design of the new wooden ceiling inspired by the damaged yet fascinating existing roof.

GraçaMoura&Figueirinhas MO’s Stores Fashion Retail Store Completed & Ongoing Portugal

Received the preliminary store concept and adapted it to the execution of 50+ spaces across 6 countries. In order to meet very tight deadlines, improved the production methodology detailed processes, drawings and specifications, including furniture and equipment. Advised management on overall project feasibility, prepared tender applications and customers presentations.

Modular System EcoHouses Pedras Salgadas Hotel Completed. 2012 Portugal

Detailing, execution and production of the architectural concept by architect Luis Rebelo de Andrade. Designing the specific modular wooden structure enabled us to work more independently regarding the structural, lighting and mechanical projects.

BIM technology (Revit) was a pivotal tool for the highly detailed drawings, technical schedules and lists produced.

Modular System HoBo - HouseBoat Housing Completed. 2012 Portugal

The houseboat was built on a modular light steel framing structure using a concrete-based floating technology. It took the team an impressive 3 week period to develop, plan, execute and assemble. Greatest challenges: agile team work, extremely accurate carpentry detailing. Created marketing materials and hosted the project in Oporto Show 2012.

Pasato-Building Solutions Casa Vila do Conde Housing “Call for...� . 2010 Portugal

After researching and prototyping with used shipping containers, submitted the displayed 2 storey house at the Call for Container Houses.

Developed full concept, 2D 3D schemes and rendering images: 4 shipping containers separated in order to maximise space, bonded with a single membrane. The outcome was a dwelling for a 4 member family.

Siza Vieira & Castanheira Amore Pacific Campus Multi-purpose Facility Completed. 2010 South Korea

For this collaboration between Ă lvaro Siza Vieira and Carlos Castanheira (Castanheira & Bastai Arq.), I was given decision-making autonomy to decide design specifications, materials, lighting and other equipment for the interior design. Additionally, developed specialized furniture not only for the laboratories and meeting rooms but also for the auditoriums.

A|M architects Pedro Pinto’s Store Fashion Retail Store Completed. 2009 Portugal

Authored this fashion design store and atelier. Responsible for its conception, benchmarking, layout and adaptation to building regulations.

The execution plans, material review/shopping and on field supervision were completed under a very low budget and a short time frame. The project was published in Attitude, a portuguese interior design magazine.

Siza Vieira & Castanheira Chiado Public Space Ongoing Portugal

Under the supervision of Siza Vieira and Castanheira, I was challenged with planning, designing and executing several parts in the project for one of the most iconic public spaces in Lisbon - Chiado.

This project sets in an important archeological site, which demanded an sustainable and functional intervention.

Siza Vieira & Castanheira Mimesis Art Museum Museum Completed. 2009 South Korea

Detailed specific service areas for the museum. This was a decisive moment in my career, as I had the chance to work with Ă lvaro Siza Vieira (co-author) in a larger scale international building. During this process I learned the true meaning of rigorous dedication to detail and quality.

Adalberto Dias Arq. Casas Brancas Multi-residential Completed. 2008 Portugal

Joined the architectural team when the building was already under construction.

My responsibilities included the detailing of kitchens and bathrooms; the preliminary analysis, modelling and execution plans of the main stairs (which was the greatest challenge!) ; and regular site visits to check on progress, ensuring that the project was running on time.
