‘My daughter and I love taking part in the music making sessions. Being able to enjoy so many activities together with your child makes it a fun and rewarding experience for you both’
Gabrielle Reith and Philip Thompson
“Oor Future” is an exhibition highlighting fundamental climate issues by exploring key subjects of positive and negative human activities impacting climate change as ‘Two Headed Monsters.’ It prompts individuals to be positive, self-reflective, and proactive in relation to climate action in their own lives.
Gabrielle Reith and Philip Thompson are Aberdeen based artists making work under the name of “Oor Monsters”. They have worked together on many playful and inspiring projects, ‘monsterising’ things from the everyday into the fantastical since 2008.
Environmentalism, accessibility, and play are at the heart of their creations, creating a friendly but subversive approach to tackling difficult subjects.

Living Lithograph
Lindsey Carr
Originally developed as a tool for the creation of a series of lithographs based on Ernst Haeckel’s ‘Kunstformen Der Natur’ - the tool has now been reformatted for premiere at the Music Hall. Organisms on screen are generated by machine learning and animated using latent space interpolation to calculate the best trajectory between each.
Carr primarily works as an oil painter and printmaker, conducting programmatic experiments using data collected from historical art which are then used as references. Her work is focused on exploring the interplay of rules - how one set of rules interacts with another, how complex behaviour arises from simple directives, and how art emerges. www.lindseycarrart.com

The multiplying disguises, pranks, and daring escapes engineered by Figaro are enhanced by Simon Higlett’s enchanting designs, bright with Spanish colours. This revival is sung in English for a fresh spin on Rossini’s larger-thanlife characters and antics.
