Jonathan Pie: Fake News

Showbiz

Fri 15 November 2019

Sir Chris Bonington

8pm

Sun 17 November 2019

7:30pm

Wed 4 December 2019

7:30pm

Frank Skinner has announced a nationwide tour this autumn with his new stand up show Showbiz. Since his last tour, Frank’s only live comedy appearances have been with The Man With No Show, which saw him perform an hour of completely improvised stand-up comedy with no material and no set list.

Jonathan Pie is the exasperated News Reporter whose videos have been seen across the world. If no news is good news then good news is fake news. Jonathan Pie returns to the road once more to berate the people in power - and the journalists apparently holding them to account.

Sir Chris was the first mountaineer on the lecture circuit and, this autumn, he will present his “Life & Times”, covering his sixty years spent in the mountains. With original images and raw footage, this is a rare opportunity to hear about some of the greatest expeditions of the twentieth century.

This is a special chance to meet Sunday Times bestselling author Harriet Evans, whose eleven books have sold over a million copies worldwide, and been in the Top Ten twice. Her newest novel, The Garden of Lost and Found, was chosen by Good Housekeeping as their Big Book of the year.
