“This is brilliant... Like Lee Hall gone rotten from the inside but determined to show you his very best heart-warming cabaret hour all the same. Lee Hall who’s had his brain temporarily piloted by a miniaturised, cackling Philip Ridley. It’s that kind of brilliant.” Stewart Pringle, Exeunt Magazine Following sold-out runs at Soho Theatre, London, the Sophiensaele, Berlin and Paines Plough Roundabout, Edinburgh, Dance and Theatre combine in the latest show from Encounter. I Heart Catherine Pistachio is a dangerously dark physical comedy about a square-eyed young girl stuck in a suburban swamp of abuse.

DOUBLE BILL GIVE ME A REASON TO LIVE
BY CLAIRE CUNNINGHAM
Inspired by the work of Medieval Dutch painter Hieronymus Bosch, Give Me a Reason To Live explores issues of religion, in particular religious art; the judgement of bodies, souls and quality of life. Taking the form of a series of tests, of body and of faith, and set to a mesmerizing sound score, the work is a study of empathy; a live memorial to the disabled victims of the Nazi euthanasia program and the current disabled victims of the present UK governments so-called ‘welfare reform’.
FOR NOW, I AM...
BY MARC BREW COMPANY
Stripped back - for the first time since his car accident in 1997 – Marc Brew creates an intimate new solo that engages directly with his body as it is now, exploring what it is to be broken, reborn, purified, and to reconcile being in the world in an entirely new way.

National Theatre of Scotland New Writers’ Roadshow - A Stage Writers’ workshop Led by playwright Isabel Wright and the National Theatre of Scotland’s Literary Manager, George Aza-Selinger. The National Theatre of Scotland is always on the lookout for new and unique voices and stories and we read unsolicited scripts all year round through our Script Reading Programme. There has never been a better time to submit a script to us, as this year the National Theatre of Scotland, in partnership with A Play, A Pie and A Pint, will be offering at least one writer from our Script Reading Programme, the chance to be one of our next Breakthrough Writers. Breakthrough will see a writer’s idea optioned by A Play, A Pie and A Pint for a potential production and offered paid script development support by the National Theatre of Scotland. This workshop will be a chance for you to hear more about opportunities for writers at the National Theatre of Scotland, and give some inspiration and advice on how to start (or finish) your play.
Please go to the CREATE page at www.nationaltheatrescotland.com to find out more information about submitting a play. 30

We’ve printed the whole price of ticket in the brochure, this includes the booking fee (the only extra you’ll have to pay for is postage, but why not print your own at home?) – there could well be discounts for students, children, over 60s or APA Friends – just ask or check online.
DO I SIT OR STAND?
A bit of both – we try and create the right atmosphere for each gig, some will have seats, some won’t – we’ve tried to list it where we can here. If it says ‘doors’ then that’s when the doors open and you get inside for a drink. If it says ‘start’ that’s when the show starts. Some shows have support acts, we can’t always confirm this until nearer the time and ‘start’ can mean the start of the support act, not the main act
