A brief conversation at The Lemon Tree a couple of months ago about the quality of local supports we were getting has given birth to this Saturday’s all day music event featuring an all Aberdeen line up across a variety of town centre venues, bars and stores. We have a fantastic music scene in Aberdeen with some brilliant bands, soloists and DJs and want to showcase and celebrate this. With acts such as Fridge Magnets, The Little Kicks, Indian Red Lopez, Cara Mitchell, Stanley, Duke and Marionettes shows there is an incredibly strong and diverse scene out there. A quick Google search will pull up a plethora of top quality videos, EPs, singles and albums all from acts in the North-east. Give this a try and you won’t be disappointed! We also want to use the day to demonstrate the part we ALL play within this scene. We want to support local music at The Lemon Tree as much as we can with gigs and support slots. We’re also lucky to have an outstanding independent record store with One Up and a shop such as ii Music with a great selection of instruments and accessories to start, or improve, your music career. Brewdog are just the perfect example of what can happen when an idea and a fresh approach pays off. Local guys done good!
