The layout concept focuses on creating a significant shaded space in which the community can gather. The Heart of the Project. As a result the Heart becomes essential to the overall experience of the development. As needs expand, the heart is cradled by dinning, cultural/education buildings, offices, and activated by events and outdoor evening activities. Ultimately the development and its Heart have the potential to become an extension of the community’s living room.

The concept for the proposed retail store embodies San Diego Modernism. The design takes cues from the surrounding context of both mature buildings and new. The heirarchy of articulation is based on the users perspective from vehicle and pedestrian to aid wayfinding.
