Welcome to LIFF 2021

We are thrilled to be back on the big screen for the 2021 Leeds International Film Festival! While two of our regular venues will be closed for redevelopment during LIFF 2021 (Leeds Town Hall and Hyde Park Picture House), we are delighted to expand our programme at Vue in The Light – in three deluxe screens with new recliner seating – and return to Everyman and Belgrave Music Hall. We are also taking LIFF 2021 to the stunning setting of Howard Assembly Room, the brand new Leeds School of Arts Cinema, and for the first time the National Science & Media Museum in Bradford.

We are presenting the LIFF 2021 programme across five sections: Official Selection for new fiction features; Cinema Versa for documentaries; Fanomenon for action, anime, horror, sci-fi films and more; Leeds Short Film Awards; and Rear View for classic films and archive discoveries. You can see all films in venues and a selection of features and shorts programmes on our streaming platform Leeds Film Player.
