I recall the era when industrial production was in full swing in the 80s, the economy was also well developed, the surrounding service facilities were also very completed as well. At that time, everyone lived in the tube building, the relationship with neighbors was very good.
Around 1999, thieves were rampant and society was in chaos, largely because workers were laid off, unable to find jobs, and had to steal.
In the past, the happiest thing was eating a reunion dinner with family on the kang(a heatable brick bed in Northeast China).
At that time, basically there were several people working in factories each family, and life was so satisfying.
Around 2000, many carbon factory workers were laid off, some took money to leave Jilin to do business, and more experienced a confused life without work.
Our business district at that time was all factory-centered, and the cultural palace, cinemas, shops, restaurants, food supply stores around the venue were all very prosperous, and everyone liked to queue up at the cinema to watch movies after work.

created game followed by a virtual story about Jilin Carbon Factory The style adopts a retro pixel style, and the player will experience the work and life in the streets of the Carbon Factory in the 90s in the first person. It will intertact with people through some interesting customs of that era. I hope to draw attention to the declining industrial heritage of Northeast China, and that’s also why I design this game.

The WORK PART of the interactive process refers to the operation process of the carbon factory calcination workshop, the main process is crushing, screening, kneading, forming, baking, graphitization and machining, and finally the product is obtained. chose two of the basic operating flow -- crushing and screening, which can be simulated by shaking the screen of the phone to make the machine run.
Initial crushing step: large chunks of anthracite coal are processed by a double roll crusher.
Northeasterners like to socialize in the bathhouse, which is a social mecca for chatting, playing cards, eating and drinking.

Eating on ‘kang’ is a custom unique to Northeast China, and a bed that can be heated is perfect because of low temperature.

Ding Ji is ready to operate a tank calciner to calcide coal, and the most important thing in this process is temperature control.
It should be noticed that the adding method of the calciner is a bit special, which means the material should be added from the top of the furnace.
2.LIFE-daily life in Carbon Plant Alley
In the LIFE PART of the game, people's living habits are full of the warmth and happiness in the 90s, and these are related to the commercial form developed around the carbon factory. People living in collective houses, can also bathing and scrubbing baths, eating on “kang( a kind of bed that can be heated)”, etc., which can make people experience the daily life at that time through interaction.
At that time, there was a propaganda slogan in the Northeast China called "Eliminate the four pests," and rats were one of the four pests.
